Snow covering roads across much of Montana

Snow continues to pile up across the treasure state.

Snow is being measured in feet for parts of the Rocky Mountain Front.

In Great Falls, official observations from the National Weather Service at 6:30am Sunday show 14 inches of snow has fallen, with about 7 inches on the ground.

Snow has begun to stick to the roads as well.

As of 11am Sunday most highways from Lewistown to Helena and northward are reported as covered with a mix of snow and ice.

Severe driving conditions are reported on Highway 223 north of Fort Benton, as well as on Highway 89 south of Browning and Highway 2 between Browning and East Glacier.

Blackfeet DES and Teton County Sheriff have requested emergency travel only.
