Slightly less wind is on tap Thursday with temperatures in the high 30s and low 40s for most.

Unfortunately the wind is expected to pick back up again tonight.

In anticipation of the strong wind the National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Watch for a good portion of North Central Montana.

Sustained winds of 35 to 45 mph are likely with gusts around 65 mph on Friday.

Blowing and drifting snow is likely in the immediate vicinity of the Rocky Mountain Front, primarily in North Central Montana.

The strong wind will help to push temperatures into the low 50s on Friday and Saturday.

As we enter next week, weather conditions are expected to trend closer to seasonal averages.

Colder air is expected to return on Tuesday.
