Temperatures on Thursday and Friday are expected to climb to the mid 90s for most of our area.

This is about ten degrees above average for this time of year.

Afternoon showers and thunderstorms are once again likely Thursday afternoon.

Storms are expected to begin firing off around 3:00 pm in southwestern Montana.

Forecast models then show these systems tracking through central Montana through the evening.

More mild and seasonably average weather is expected to return over the weekend.

An incoming low pressure system is anticipated to break down the high pressure ridge that has brought the extreme heat.

Temperatures are expected to remain in the mid 80s through the first part of next week.
