Winds help to feed the high fire danger Wednesday

Posted

A passing cold front will bring gusty winds and increased fire danger for Central Montana.

In anticipation of the fire weather conditions, the National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for a good chunk of the state.

This means conditions are favorable for fires to ignite and spread very quickly.

The passing cold front will help to cool temperatures slightly on Wednesday, keeping them in the high 80s for our area.

Winds are expected to die down by Thursday morning.

High pressure will once again take over and allow for clear skies and hot weather to continue into the weekend.
