We track much warmer weather again today with plenty of sunshine to go along with it!

Highs will reach near 80 degrees in North-Central Montana.

For some, this will be the first time in 9 months we’ve seen highs this warm!

Moisture moves into Southwest Montana today, so we can’t rule out a brief, pop up thunderstorm.

These will be very summer-like and brief, so expect mostly sunny skies besides the occasional thunderstorm cloud.

Flooding continues through North-Central Montana as well.

The good news is that flood levels continue to recede over the next few days, and we are already seeing advisories and warnings expire.

It is hard to think about fire season with all the flooding we’ve had, but Canadian wildfires burning in Alberta are sending smoke to the Treasure State.

Wind from the north will carry smoke into North-Central and Northwest Montana this afternoon, so expect a few bits of hazy skies through that area.
