Happy first Friday of Spring!

We track a sunny and warmer end to the week.

High pressure starts to break down tomorrow, and clouds move in tomorrow afternoon.

Chances of rain and snow increase tomorrow night.

Widespread wintry mix is expected as we head out the door Sunday.

We are already tracking areas of increased snow melt in Central Montana.

This is leading to flooding in poor drainage areas.

Added snow and rain to the already increased areas of runoff will increase flooding concerns across the area this weekend.

We have Areal Flood Warnings, Watches, and Advisories already in effect for some of North-Central Montana.

Prolonged warming is also leading to instability in mountain snowpack across the Rockies.

An Avalanche Watch is in effect for the backcountry areas listed below.

We will continue to see avalanche concerns increase with additional snowfall expected this weekend, and melting continuing next week.
