A cold start before warming trend picks up next week

Posted

We continue a warming trend today with temperatures in the mid to upper 30’s in most of Central Montana.

Northeast Montana starts out colder and remains a bit colder than the rest of the state due to a few inches of snow that are still on the ground.

The ground can’t warm up as much with snow reflecting heat back into the atmosphere, so the warming trend is a lot slower through the Northeast.

A slight breeze today will make it feel much colder out there with wind chills, once again, back into the negatives.

Our weekend forecast is shaping up to be mild and sunny!

It will be a great weekend to enjoy above average temperatures and plenty of sunshine, and these conditions stick around to start our work week, too!
