Very chilly this weekend

It’s not looking like a nice weekend to be outdoors.

Saturday starts off with lows in the low to mid 30s.

Temperatures will struggle to climb into the 40s by the afternoon.

Rain is possible on Saturday, with snow mixing in Saturday night into Sunday morning.

Accumulating Mountain snow has prompted the National Weather Service in Great Falls to issue a Winter Weather Advisory.

From the NWS:

* WHAT…Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches  over mountain passes are expected, with localized amounts up to  6 inches above pass level.

* WHERE…Cascade, Central and Southern Lewis and Clark and Judith  Basin, including Kings Hill, Rogers, and MacDonald Passes.

* WHEN…From 6 PM Saturday to 3 PM MDT Sunday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Plan on slippery road conditions. Expect  reduced visibilities at times.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered road sand limited visibilities, and use caution while driving. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.
