Temperatures will take a drastic drop today as a cold front moves through.

Widespread showers are expected through the state today which will track right behind the cold front.

As temperatures drop overnight, snow showers are expected to become widespread in elevations along the Rocky Mountain Front in elevations above 6,000 feet.

A Winter Weather Advisory goes into effect today at 9AM and lasts through Friday at 9AM for northern and southern parts of the Rocky Mountain Front above 6,000 feet.

Hazards include slippery backcountry recreation trails and possible slippery roadways in higher elevation passes.

Rain moves out tomorrow, but cooler weather sticks around through the weekend.
