This week marks the 144th anniversary of The Battle of the Little Bighorn, and the national park and monument reopened to visitors Tuesday.

The park had been closed due to COVID-19, but according to itsFacebook page, the gates will now be open daily from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

While the battlefield is open for people to see, the visitor center, museum and bookstore will still remain closed.

Parking is also limited to help ensure social distancing. Park officials strongly recommend visitors wear face masks.
