The Broadwater County Sheriff's Office told MTN a train engine caught fire on Tuesday night.
The fire is out -- and no one was injured, after a Montana Rail Link (MRL) train engine went up into flames.
It happened around 8:15 p.m. near Antelope Road in Townsend.
Broadwater County Sheriff Wynn Meehan says the front engine of an oil train caught fire.
Multiple fire crews responded and got the fire out, but people living nearby were evacuated.
Meehan said that's because it was an oil train, and it was dark.
Meehan said MRL crews are now on the scene, and disabled the engine.
They're working to move the engine.
Broadwater County Sheriff Wynn Meehan also wrote on Facebook that the fire has been extinguished and cleanup efforts are underway.
