BOZEMAN — Tim Gray of Bozeman is doing all he can to put others in the Christmas mood. “Eight, nine years ago, I thought it’d be kind of cool to start a Christmas lights show and with the technology that was coming out. I thought it’d be cool if you could sync it to music.”
So that’s exactly what he did.
“They come up, they park along the side of the street. They sit and tune their radios to 90.1. There’s a sign in the front that tells you. It’s all synced to music, so you tune to 90.1 FM radio and watch the lights sync to the music,” said Gray, the homeowner of the light show.
Now it may seem like something you’d expect during the holidays. But in a not so typical year, Tim says he’s happy to spread holiday cheer.
“A lot of kids like it. A lot of adults really like it as I interact with them, people I know around the community, and stuff. You know if it’s something that can put a smile on a kid’s face or someone’s face then it’s well worth it,” Gray said.
And it also brings back memories from when he was a kid.
“I can just remember being a little kid myself, and I thought it was pretty cool. We’d go around and look at Christmas lights, and I thought you know how cool would it be if it were different all the time,” he explained.
This light show is located at 313 Powder River Avenue and will go on until January 1st, 2021.
