SUPERIOR — A second child has died from his injuries after it appears he was shot by his father at a home near Saint Regis last weekend.
This victim -- a four-year-old boy -- would have turned five on Wednesday.
Authorities believe his father shot the boy and his older son Saturday evening before shooting himself.
When Mineral County authorities got to the home, Anthony Dascher and his 7-year-old son were already dead. The 4-year-old child was flown to a Spokane hospital where he died on Tuesday morning.
Mineral County Sheriff Mike Toth says although it appears the older Dascher is the shooter, the Montana Department of Criminal Investigations will make a final determination as to what happened.
A candlelight vigil for the boys will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in Saint Regis across from the travel plaza.
