1 person dead, 2 injured in Roosevelt County crash

(UPDATE, 2:45 p.m.) One person died and two others were injured in a crash along Powder River Road on Monday night.

According to the Montana Highway Patrol, a Dodge Caravan was traveling north around 10:15 p.m. when it went off the right side of the road and down a steep ditch.

The vehicle rolled several times and landed on the driver’s side facing south.

The 32-year-old male driver and a 30-year-old female passenger were transported to the hospital with injuries. A 33-year-old female passenger died.

None of the occupants were wearing seat belts. Alcohol, drugs, and speed are suspected factors in the crash.

The names of those involved have not yet been released.

(1st Report, 1:53 p.m.) One person died in a crash just north of Wolf Point on Monday.

The name of the victim has not yet been released.

The crash was reported to the Montana Highway Patrol at 10:16 p.m. on Monday.

It happened on Road 1074 near Powder River Road.

The MHP has not yet released any details of the crash, and is continuing to investigate.
