Water could temporarily shut down in Browning after main break

UPDATE (2:24 p.m.) — Two Medicine Water Company continues to wait for several utilities to arrive on scene. They will notify the public when on-site digging commences and water is expected to be shut off.

(Saturday, March 2, 1:40 p.m.) — Two Medicine Water Company released a statement early Saturday via social media informing of a water main break that could temporarily shut down water to the Browning community.

The Facebook post elaborated the main break is located near North Boundary Street and that passersby are advised to “stay away from the construction area.”

“We’re checking out the problem now to see what needs to be done,” Milton Rutherford, a spokesman for Two Medicine Water Company, told MTN News Saturday afternoon. “For now, [we are] waiting on the utilities.”

Specifically, he noted the break “is located at North Boundary and First Street North.”

The company, which operates the Stu Miller Water Plant and provides water to both Browning and East Glacier,  further detailed that it would “give more [information] when we have it.”
