A century ago, Montana’s ag industry was supported by the threshing machine, a device that saved farmers the chore of separating grain by hand.

Although threshing is a thing of the past, these machines are a reminder of how far agriculture has come.

The Threshing Association wanted people to understand why these machines matter, and in 1983 the first show began.

Alpacas, train rides, and antique machines are just some of what people expect to see when they visit the bee.
