Posted

A passing cold front will kick off winds and cool temperatures slightly on Wednesday.

Winds are expected to the range between 30 and 40 mph throughout Central and North Central Montana.

The fire danger will be very high due to the strong winds, low humidity, and dry vegetation.

If you have plans to work in the field, extreme caution should be used to avoid machinery sparks or exhaust fires.

The weather conditions will be favorable for fires to spread rapidly.

The National Weather Service has issues a Red Flag Warning for much of Montana due to the high fire danger.

A few spotty showers are likely on Friday  .
