Montana Ag Network Weather: June 5th

Posted

Sunshine and warmer weather will last through the first half of Thursday before our next weather system moves in.

This next system looks to pack a punch in the way of producing severe weather.

A cold front will drop into the state Thursday afternoon.

This will provide the trigger effect to kick of a band of severe thunderstorms throughout Central Montana.

Strong storms capable of producing large hail, gusty winds, and heavy rain are expected to start around 3:00 pm and last well into the evening.

Localized flooding is not out of the question as rain will likely be heavy at times.

More widespread rain will move in overnight Thursday, lasting into the early morning hours Friday.

This system will likely produce some snow for the higher elevations and moderate to heavy rain for Central Montana.

Lingering showers are expected to last through Saturday, before drying up on Sunday.

Sunshine and dryer weather is expected for the first half for next week.
