Montana Ag Network Weather: March 22nd

Posted

Lowland flooding remains a concern as we head into the weekend.

Flood concerns are continuing to add up throughout Eastern Montana and the Hi-Line.

The quick rise in temperatures and abundant snow pack in the plains is the reason behind the issue.

Saturday will start out mild before rain moves in late Saturday, eventually transitioning to a rain and snow mix overnight.

Depending on how fast this transition happens, Central Montana will have the potential to receive a very wet and heavy snowfall.

This could cause issues for power lines and tree branches throughout the area.

The moisture moves out on Monday, allowing for a sunny and mild Tuesday.

This next work week is on track to be a mix of rain and sun.
