Montana Ag Network Weather (1/18) Warm and windy to snow and cold

Posted

We’re tracking Montana weather at its finest as we head into the weekend.

Temperatures will skyrocket on Saturday, reaching the high 40s and early 50s.

This is primarily due to down sloping winds off of the Rockies.

Occasional winds gusts in upwards of 50 mph are possible Saturday afternoon.

Some lingering moisture will be over Central Montana on Saturday as well.

This will increase the possibility for a few spotty rain showers or a wintry mix.

More snow moves in on Sunday afternoon.

The snow will likely start off as rain or a wintry mix due to warmer temperatures.

None the less slick roads can be expected Sunday night and Monday Morning.

New snow accumulation around two to four inches is expected for Central Montana.
