High pressure remains the big talking point on the weather scene.

As this next pressure system begins taking over on Friday, conditions will warm up this weekend.

Highs will once again climb above normal, reaching the 40s on Saturday and Sunday.

According to the latest USDA crop progress report, winter wheat emerged was 93 percent complete, slightly behind the 5-year average of 97 percent.

Mild weather and timely precipitation continues to allow for extended fall grazing.

Livestock movement from summer pasture is behind the previous year and 5-year average with 87 percent of cattle and 91 percent of sheep moved.
