Montana Ag Network Weather (11/29) Winter weather returns

and last updated

Snow is on track to return to Montana late Friday.

Early forecast models are suggesting that most of Central Montana will pick up between three to six inches of snow through Sunday.

Judith Basin and Fergus counties are expected to receive greater amounts of snow, likely between five and ten inches of total accumulation.

Please keep in mind that we are in the very early stages of predicting snow accumulations.

Forecast models should come into better agreement once the area of Low Pressure associated with this system makes land fall, which should happen latter today.

Temperatures are also expected to fall as arctic air invades the state.

Highs on Friday will be around the mid 30s.

Saturdays temperatures will likely stay right around freezing during the day.
