Drought that carried over from this summer continues to improve across Montana.
Rain and recent snow have allowed for the areas previously experiencing severe drought; to now be categorized as either dry or moderate.
According to the USDA Drought Monitor, 18.28 percent of Montana is listed as dry with only 1.47 percent remaining under moderate drought.
Weather conditions will remain cold for the remainder of the week.
Friday will struggle to reach the 40s for most of Montana.
More snow, likely heavy at times, is expected to return Friday evening.
Sporadic and widespread snow should continue most of Saturday as well.
