More seasonably average conditions have allowed for farmers to begin catching up on the harvest throughout Montana.
According to the latest USDA Crop Progress Report, Corn for grain harvest was 25 percent complete, which falls behind both the previous year and 5-year average.
Winter wheat seeded was 74 percent complete, behind last year’s progress of 80 percent.
