A popular Missoula sandwich shop is closing its doors indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Staggering Ox on Southwest Higgins made the announcement in a Tuesday social
media post.

"In order to protect our workers, customers, health care providers, first responders and our most vulnerable in our beloved community," the Staggering Ox will be closed until further notice.

"The last nine months have been trying times for all, and incredibly hard on small family businesses like ours across our great nation. Thank you all for your loyalty and support. Please, be safe, be patient, and be kind to one another as we go through these difficult times together," the social media post concludes.

Recently, the Caffe Dolce location on Brooks Street also announced it was closing for now due to COVID-19 concerns.
