Many Montana organizations are committed to serving those who've served the country.

On Sunday, dozens of people got to test-drive cars and help veterans in one easy maneuver, when Bison Ford and the Great Falls chapter of Disabled American Veterans teamed up to raise money to help disabled vets.

Each participant simply had to complete a free test drive of a new Ford and fill out a survey, and Ford donated $20 to the Great Falls DAV.

The DAV relies on their vehicles to be able to drive disabled vets all over the state.

One of the event coordinators, Joe Parsetich, said the proceeds from this event will allow the DAV to replace their old vehicles and provide their veterans with better forms of transportation.

“This way the veterans that we're transporting have not only dependable transportation but much more reliable and comfortable transportation,” Parsetich said.

By the end of the three-hour event, between 150 and 200 test-drivers had come out, raising more than $3,000 that will be put toward the buying a new vehicle.
