A 20-year-old man from Kremlin died on Saturday after causing a head-on collision with another driver on the highway between Kremlin and Havre.
The crash happened on U.S. Highway 2 at mile marker 368 at approximately 5:13 p.m., according to the Montana Highway Patrol.
The Kremlin man was driving a 2009 GMC Sierra in the westbound lane. He veered into the eastbound lane, causing a head-on collision with a 2017 Chevy Silverado being driven by a 33-year-old man from Havre, who was injured in the crash. MHP did not provide details on the extent of his injuries.
The man who suffered injuries was wearing his seatbelt; the man who died was not.
Road conditions were bare and dry. MHP reported alcohol and speed as suspected factors in the crash.
