MISSOULA — The Lake County Sheriff's Office says that a man died after being hit by a train on Sunday.
Sheriff Don Bell says that at about 2:40 p.m. in the town of Ravalli, David John Matt Hammer was hit by a train and died at the scene.
Hammer was 47 years old.
Sheriff Bell says the body was taken to the Montana State Crime Lab in Missoula for an autopsy.
No other details have been released at this point. We will update you if we get more information.
