With the help of Candy Kane Communications and the Butte-Silver Bow Parks and Recreation, Santa Claus is sending letters to children across Butte.

"Santa Claus is pretty excited about it, I know that and Candy Kane communications, they really are. It’s the first year they’ve done this in Butte so they think it's going to be pretty special," Bob Lazzari, the Butte-Silver Bow Parks and Recreation Events Coordinator, said.

In previous years Santa would pick up the phone and call those on his list, but this year he wanted to do something different.

"He’d rather send poems to them so when people get online to our website they can put their kid's information in, we send everything with Candy Kane Communications back to Santa Clause and he will send them all a poem for Christmas," Lazzari said.

Sending letters would help keep Santa and those helping him safe this year and make sure Christmas can continue on schedule

"It could be nice to get something in the mail, this way everyone is kept socially distance, yeah we just want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year," Lazzari said.

Parents can fill out the form here to get a letter from Santa, the deadline is December 13 at 11:59 p.m..
