Logan talked about journalism and issues in U.S. and the Middle East.

She lives in Texas and passed on some wisdom from her former home of South Africa.

"Freedom is an ideal for which I would like to live, but it is also an idea for which I am quite prepared to die," Logan said about a quote from Nelson Madela while he was imprisoned and before he became South Africa's president.

In February of 2011, Logan was sexually assaulted and escaped with her news crew during the Egyptian revolution.

"What happened to me wasn't going to be my dirty little secret to carry in shame, as a burden for all my life," she said. "I built on something I heard from another victim of rape say when I was a young girl. They took so much from her that night, she wasn't going to give them the rest of her life as well. and that's pretty much what I have lived by."

Logan had been working with Sinclair Broadcasting as a special correspondent.

She is now working on a four-part story from the U.S.-Mexico border for Fox Nation.

Logan worked for CBS News and 60 Minutes from 2002 to 2018.
