The coronavirus may have canceled Montana Tech's fall graduation ceremony but the Butte campus still found a way to celebrate the graduates Friday.
A graduation parade was held that afternoon for graduates to drive through campus while faculty and staff celebrated by holding signs and waving congratulations to the fall graduates.
Staff say it was important to make the students feel special.
“Graduating from college is a big deal. This is four of five years of their lives for our two-year students celebrating their accomplishment of getting out in the workforce and COVID can't keep us down,” said Montana Tech Dean of Student Carrie Vath.
Montana Tech has not decided yet if there will be a spring graduation ceremony.
