Glacier National Park visitation numbers top 3 million

Glacier National Park officials report that more than 3 million visitors have entered the park this year.

Since last fall, the park has seen an overall increase by more than 85,000 people.

The West Glacier Entrance saw the highest volume with an increase of more than 200,000 visitors.

Meanwhile, the visitation numbers at Two Medicine slightly decreased by 15,000.

The park reports overnight stay in the park increased by more than 35,000 with overnight backcountry stay increasing by more than 2,000 campers.

These overall numbers do not exceed the record high number of visitors in 2017.
