MTN News visited some small businesses in downtown Bozeman to hear what advice they have for other small business owners trying to manage during the coronavirus pandemic.

“Just hang in there; don’t be afraid to open back up,” said Jeff Carter, the owner of Carter's Boots and Repairs.

“Staying in touch with people digitally is important and catering to everyone’s needs be it curbside, delivery, web sales,” advised Charlie West, the owner of The Great Rocky Mountain Toy Company.

“You know what’s best for your business, and what’s best for your business may not be what’s best for your neighbor’s business. So, keep that in mind. do what’s right for your employees, your customers, your business. follow the state guidelines and just get creative,” said Haley Connolly, the owner of Meridian Boutique.

Many businesses in Gallatin County say the only way they’ve been able to survive is because of the overwhelming support this community has given them.
