Two major airline companies on Tuesday announced additional service at Billings Logan International Airport.
American Airlines said beginning April 7, 2020 the airline will bring a second flight from Dallas to Billings. The new flight will arrive at 8:41 p.m. and depart at 6:30 a.m. the following morning.
The current mid-day flight will remain the same, according to a press release issued by airport director Kevin Ploehn.
"This is something we have been discussing with American to help the business community with their business trips and to allow for better connections out of Dallas," Ploehn said.
Alaska Airlines also announced it will have additional seats for the upcoming summer travel season by adding a second direct flight to Portland from Billings on a 76-seat regional aircraft beginning in April.
The airlines also announced it will upgrade the afternoon Seattle flight to an Airbus A319 with 119 seats, an additional 43 seats per day to Seattle during the summer. The airline previously used the Q400 turboprops on the flight between Seattle and Billings.
