HELENA – Carroll College officials are advising the public of an increased police presence at Carroll this week, however, there is no need to worry.

Law enforcement from Montana and nearby states are in Helena for the Mountain States Tactical Officers Conference.

On Tuesday, May 21 and Thursday, May 23, law enforcement SWAT teams will run training situations at Trinity Hall on Carroll’s campus from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Officers will be dressed in full gear and using non-live ammunition.

If a person is near the campus, they may see or hear the SWAT teams, but there is no need to call 911 to report the training.
