St. Peter’s Health Medical Group announced Monday the opening of an Orthopaedic Urgent Care at its Broadway Clinic.

The Orthopaedic Urgent Care will offer evaluation and treatment for common orthopaedic-related injuries including sprains, broken bones, back pain and minor cuts.

Trapper Hogberg, PA said he hopes the orthopaedic-focused unit will help streamline the process for people whose doctor will usually consult with them anyway.

“We do the acute stuff, but also if there’s been something chronic and you don’t feel like you can wait to be seen, you’re certainly more than welcome into our clinic here,” said Hogberg.

The Orthopaedic Urgent Care will be open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. No appointment is necessary and walk-ins are welcome.

St. Peter’s Health Orthopaedics team currently includes two physicians and four advanced practice providers. It will grow by another physician assistant and orthopaedic surgeon this summer.

“Our goal is to provide an additional, quality, and convenient option for community members seeking care for orthopaedic injuries,” said Vice President of St. Peter’s Health Medical Group Brian Lee.
