The roads around Helena and in Central Montana are being impacted as another winter storm makes its way through the region.

According to the Montana Department of Transportation, most roadways in Central Montana have snow and ice. Interstate 15 between Helena and Great Falls has slush and scattered slush.

Central and southern Lewis and Clark County including Helena, Lincoln, MacDonald Pass, and Rogers Pass are under a Winter Storm Warning, which is in effect until 5 a.m. Thursday.

The National Weather Service reported travel could be difficult at times with areas of falling and blowing snow.

Temperatures are rapidly dropping, which means wet and slushy roads are expected to begin freezing over.
