People came together to enjoy soup and entertainment for a good cause in Great Falls on Saturday for the annual "Empty Bowls" event.

Empty Bowls aims to increase awareness of those who are hungry in our community. Each bowl is designed and created by an artist in our community.

This fundraiser proceeds will go to the YWCA Mercy Home, which is Cascade’s County’s only shelter for women and children who are escaping from abuse.

Great Falls YWCA president Jennifer Fritz said, "We have had incredible artists over the last however many years that have continued to donate and we have beautiful bowls.

For the cost of a $25 ticket, attendees received soup, bread, cookies, and live music, and got to keep their hand-crafted bowl.
