GREAT FALLS — Beehive Homes of Great Falls is opening a new memory care home on March 1st. The new facility has 18 bedrooms and is located at 1404 25th Street South
”One of our goals is to give a place for the elderly to come to reside in a place that feels like home,” said owner Michael Kingsley.
The addition of the new home, called ‘Pine Tree’, will provide Great Falls with 20 new jobs.
Care provider Rylee Brokl loves getting to know the residents: “The stories are what make them real people. It’s not just going in saying hi and leaving. You sit there and talk to them and that’s the best part for me. Spending the time with the residents and getting to know them.”
Beehive plans to hire three providers for day, evening, and night shifts at the new facility. Jobs in care, activities, and a team leader position are available.
Beehive RN and quality control trainer Rochelle Brokl says Beehive is stepping up their training for new employees.
“How to care for our residents, we’re starting from the ground up. Anything from how to toilet a resident all the way to cooking meals and then medications. Pretty thorough extensive training for a couple days to get our workers comfortable and educated and out there to provide the best care possible to our residents,” said Rochelle.
Beehive will host an open house on February 19th from 11am to 6pm. Kingsley says they’re looking for workers that put the care in caregiving.
“Beehive Homes is looking for people first and foremost that have a heart to care for the elderly. Secondly we’re looking for people that want to settle in and make this a career. We’re also looking for people who are going to make a difference in the peoples lives. Of families and the residents they’re caring for,” said Michael Kingsley.
