MOMS Club starts up in Great Falls

One Great Falls transplant decided kids weren’t the only ones in need of a support system, and started the city's first M.O.M.S. (Moms Offering Moms Support) club. MOMS is an international non-profit organization that runs off of dues and donations.

Club founder and president Zaida Rundle said this network of mothers is intended to serve as an emotional and educational outlet for mothers in the community. “Most clubs are moms' clubs for kids, but this is an actual moms' group...We’re there to get moms out of the house and let them know that they’re not alone,” Rundle said.

Getting her start with MOMS in another state, Rundle shared why she felt called to seek support from MOMS as a stay-at-home mother of two young children. “I felt like I was alone all the time - with two kids, so I felt like I was kind of losing my mind and I just wanted somebody to connect with,” Rundle said. .

Rundle added that children are always welcome to attend MOMS club meetings, with the focus being on the moms’ needs. The club also offers other resources like group Q & A's that are only visible to club members, so moms can ask questions of other mothers.

There are still more openings for those interested in joining the MOMS club of Great Falls. If membership increases significantly, Rundle said more chapters can begin in nearby cities to accommodate members’ needs.

If you’d like to join the Moms Club of Great Falls or more information about the organization MOMS, head to the group's Facebook page. Membership is open to all moms, but members are required to pay dues.

The next MOMS Club Of Great Falls social event, Popsicles in the Park, will take place at 10:30 a.m. on July 1st at Lions Park in Great Falls. In order to comply with Phase 2 regulations, there will be a limit of 50 attendees. You can check to see how many spots are available on the MOMS Club of Great Falls Facebook page.
