Normally, the Likity-split ice cream truck starts operating in the summer, but since they are doing school at home right now, when the books and computers go away, part-owner Aiden Heffernan loads up in the truck and heads out to serve Great Falls.
With COVID-19 restrictions still in place for some businesses and with schools currently closed, the Likity-split team decided to start early.
Aiden said, “Everyone is inside and kind of cooped up, and we thought our ice cream truck would kind of cheer them up a little bit.”
He says they wanted to take steps to make sure customers are staying safe by wearing gloves and masks. They also added a hand sanitizer station at their counter, and since their frozen treats are pre-packaged it adds another level of safety.
“It’s a lot easier for our customers to sanitize it themselves when they get home if they would like to,” says Aiden.
You can find Likity-split right here on Facebook , where they post updates about what neighborhood they will be at each night.
Aiden also said that if there are groups that would like them to come for a birthday party or small gathering, you can reach them at their Facebook page to make arrangements. They do ask that social distance guidelines are followed at such gatherings.
