Benefis Health System is moving forward on building a new Women’s and Children’s Center in Great Falls.
They expect to break ground in May on the large lot formerly occupied by an auto dealer near the intersection of 10th Avenue South and 26th Street, just north of the main Benefis facility.
The new 48,000-square foot center will include 42 exam rooms and three floors, with a focus on women’s health and pediatrics.
Benefis spokeswoman Kaci Husted explained, "The center is really going to revolutionize the way women and children in our community access health care. I think it’s a place where they get their general wellness care in addition to going when they are sick."
They expect construction to take about a year and a half, and plan to be operational by late 2021.
(MAY 30, 2018) Benefis Health System announced Tuesday that it has bought the former Pierce Auto Group lot, located on the 2700 block of 10th Avenue South.
Benefis said in a press release that it is planning to build a freestanding women’s and children’s center on the property.
“Benefis continues to invest in improvements to our care environment,” said Benefis CEO John Goodnow. “We constantly strive to make it as convenient as possible to seek care at Benefis, realizing that the location of our services is a major driver of that convenience.”
We do not yet know when Benefis plans to begin construction.
