Wednesday marks the 18th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks that left a lifelong impact on military members and their loved ones
On Sunday morning, dozens of Great Falls residents came to West Bank Park to run in honor of the heroes whose lives were lost fighting for our country and those who continue to do so each day.
The 9/11 Heroes Run commemorates the service of military men and women and first responders.
Each year volunteers with the Travis Manion Foundation, an organization devoted to empower families of fallen heroes, coordinate 9/11 runs across the nation in more than 50 U.S. cities.
This year was the second time the event has taken place in Great Falls.
Runner Micky Mosby shared her reason for running today: “I like to be active and run. and what better cause? I mean, my son's in the military. I have a lot of military background.”
