A powerful weekend storm targeting the Rocky Mountain Front and north-central Montana this weekend is already affecting Great Falls.

The Great Falls Farmers Market has canceled their final market of the season on Saturday due to anticipated heavy snow and cold temperatures.

The market runs from late May through late September.

This Saturday was scheduled to be the final market of the season and also "customer appreciation day."

According to their Facebook page , this is the first time they have ever had to cancel their final Saturday of the season due to wintry conditions.

The weather forecast calls for between four and 10 inches of snow in and around Great Falls - and up to two or three feet of snow at higher elevations along the Rocky Mountain Front.

A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for Glacier, Pondera, Teton, Toole, and Lewis & Clark Counties. This will go into effect Friday afternoon and last through the weekend.

Blizzard-like conditions are expected for this region along with record low temperatures and snow accumulation in upwards of a foot.

The snow and cold will last through the weekend, finally letting up on Tuesday.
