Emergency crews respond to crash on I-15

(UPDATE) The woman who died in a crash on I-15 on Monday evening has been identified as Judy Montgomery Futral of Great Falls.

Cascade County Sheriff Jesse Slaughter said in a news release on Tuesday afternoon that Futral, 66 years old, was the only person in the vehicle; he noted that she was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle by the force of the crash.

Family members have been notified, according to Sheriff Slaughter.

The Montana Highway Patrol investigated the crash and determined that the cause of death was blunt force trauma, and the manner of death was accidental.



Emergency crews are at the scene of a crash along I-15 in Great Falls.

The crash was reported to the Montana Highway Patrol at 6 p.m. on Monday.

According to the MHP, it happened near mile marker 279 in the southbound lane.

At least one person has been injured.

Drivers should expect delays in the southbound lane of I-15 as emergency crews work to clear the scene.
