Downtown Great Falls businesses are joining forces in offering discounts to teachers, students and staff Tuesday.

“I just think it’s a nice way to treat our teachers as a kick off for back to school,” The Blue Rose owner Tracy Perry said.

Seven businesses are participating in the ‘Back to School Sale-ebration’ and offering up to 30 percent off items.

“I love teachers. I love the support staff. I love students. They are just so hard working and I just wanted to give them a day where they can take 30 percent off storewide, including sale items,” Perry said.

For Perry, supporting the district is important. But the support she receives in return always comes full circle.

“We’re the ones that donate to the charities, the high schools, the local events. It’s just really important to shop small, shop local, shop mom and pop, because we turn around and give it right back to the community,” Perry said.

Perry says this is the first year downtown businesses have all pitched in to dedicate a day for the celebration, but she hopes to make it an annual event.

“I love a collaborative event for downtown. It really warmed my heart that everybody wanted to join in,” Perry said.

The seven businesses participating are:

  • The Siren Shoppe
  • Motifs for the Home
  • The Blue Rose
  • The Boutique Co
  • Sora and Company
  • Dragonfly Dry Goods
  • Klover

The discounts will run until store closure on Tuesday, August 20.
