GREAT FALLS — The city of Great Falls is making money available to help organizations respond to the pandemic.

Applications are now being accepted for about $475,000 in Community Development Block Grants.

The money is part of the federal CARES Act passed last year to help communities across the country deal with the pandemic.

Great Falls organizations that normally help low-to-moderate income families can apply for the CDBG funds. For example, a healthcare organization could apply for money to set up a vaccination clinic.

“This is an opportunity to not only seize upon the opportunity to still deal with community impacts related to the pandemic, but it’s also an ability to potentially address the next phase which is communities being able to respond with vaccinations,” said Tom Micuda, Great Falls Planning & Community Development Deputy Director.

The deadline to apply is February 26 - click here for more information.
