(UPDATE, 5:36 pm) Lt. Otto says that the driver of the car has died from injuries sustained in the crash; there is no word on the current condition of the motorcyclist.

The names of the two people involved in the crash have not been released at this point.

The MHP and GFPD are continuing to investigate; we will update you as we get more information.



(UPDATE, 4:49 pm) Lt. Doug Otto of the GFPD says that the drivers of the motorcycle and car were both taken to Benefis Health System with life-threatening injuries.

There were no other individuals involved in the crash. The Montana Highway Patrol is assisting the GFPD at the scene with the crash investigation.

As of 4:45 p.m., eastbound traffic is still being diverted at 38th Street.



(1st Report, 3:55 pm) Emergency crews are at the scene of what the Great Falls Police Department says is a "major crash."

It happened at the intersection of 10th Avenue South and 39th Street. Initial reports indicate that the crash involved a car and a motorcycle.

Two ambulances have been requested. There is no word yet on how serious any injuries may be, nor the cause of the crash.
