EAST HELENA — The East Helena Boy Scouts won a grant worth over $2,000 in camping gear equipment.
The boys recently visited the Cabela's store in Billings to claim their award. They received items such as tents, camp cookers, and more for outdoor activities.
“We are outdoor people ourselves. We want everybody to be able to enjoy that, especially kids. Once you get the kids hooked, they're hooked for life,” says Nicole Pugliano, Cabela’s General Manager of the Billings location. “We want to share what that lifestyle means to all of us and what it means to everybody else as well."
The scouts say they go on camping trips once a month and look forward to using their equipment.
