HELENA – Steven O’Mara, 34, is accused of soliciting nude pictures from an underage girl.
Court records state someone close to a girl contacted police in December of 2016 and said O’Mara had reached out to the girl through social media, and asked for naked photographs.
Police searched O’Mara’s phone, but said they only found a Messenger request, and no actual messages.
He was arrested and charged, but the charges were later dismissed.
Then in October of 2018, authorities received allegations that O’Mara sent naked pictures of himself to a different underage girl through Snapchat.
Court documents state the girls took screenshots of the images and provided them to detectives.
O’Mara is charged with two counts of sexual abuse of children and one count of tampering with witnesses or informants.
The judge set bond at $50,000.
